What we take
Most people ring us at one of these moments
The bin men wouldn't take it
Mattress, sofa, fridge, freezer, old TV. The council either won't collect it or has you waiting three weeks for a slot. We'll have it gone today and it's one van trip, not five car trips to the tip.
Mid-renovation and the drive is filling up
Rubble, plasterboard, the old kitchen, the old bathroom, floorboards. Usually cheaper than a skip once you've paid for the permit, and it goes today rather than sitting there until Friday.
Clearing a house after a death
We do these carefully and at your pace. Anything that looks personal — photographs, paperwork, jewellery — gets put to one side for you, and nothing that matters goes without you saying so.

AB Waste has been working Plymouth since 2005. You ring Aaron directly — there's no call centre and no dispatcher between you and the person doing the job.
Plymouth runs a zero-to-landfill policy, so nothing we collect is buried. Anything that can be recycled is separated out and recycled; the rest goes to the energy-from-waste plant. You get a waste transfer note either way.

If we've judged it wrong, that's our problem, not your bill. And if you'd rather we didn't start, we'll shake hands and go. No charge, no pressure.

Things people ask before booking
Do I need to be there?
No. Plenty of our jobs happen while people are at work. As long as we can get to it, we'll clear it, sweep up and send you a photo when it's done.
Do I have to move it outside first?
No — that's the job. Loft, garage, upstairs, bottom of the garden, we'll carry it out. No extra charge for stairs or a long carry.
Is this cheaper than a skip?
Usually, yes. A skip on the road in Plymouth means a council permit, it sits outside your house for days, and you load it yourself. We turn up, load it and it's gone the same day.
Where does it all end up?
Anything recyclable is separated and recycled. Plymouth operates a zero-to-landfill policy, so nothing we collect gets buried — the rest goes to energy-from-waste. We're a registered waste carrier (CBDU522268, checkable on the Environment Agency public register) and you get a waste transfer note for every job.
What if it's more than it looked in the photos?
Then that's on us — the quote is the quote. The only time the number changes is if you add things after we've agreed it, and we'd tell you the new price before touching them.
Will you take fridges, freezers and electricals?
Yes. Fridges, freezers, TVs and other WEEE items need handling separately by law, and we're licensed to do it. Mention it when you send the photo so we bring the right kit.
